The sun -- and what we need to know to understand it, continued

• We know about the sun from the light it emits, so we should understand something about light. [Cf. CM Chapters 3 and 4.] (We will cover the rest of the topics on the "light" page.)
• Knowing about light, we can study the more about the sun. In particular, its temperature, composition, and luminosity. Then we can get some idea of the energy source of the sun by asking if it is on fire. [Cf. CM Ch. 16 on the sun.]
