The sun -- and what we need to know to understand it.

• We would like to know how hot the sun is, with a better answer than the obvious one.
• We would like to know what it is made of.

• We know about the sun from the light it emits, so we should understand something about light. [Cf. CM Chapters 3 and 4.] (We covered the first six topics)
