Applied Physics Masters Program
The Applied Physics Masters program leads to a professional M.S. degree alternative to the research-based Ph.D. It is designed to serve physics students whose primary interests lie in applied research and development rather than in basic research. An important component of this program lies in internships, administered by the Materials Science Institute, in local and regional industries, which are designed to enhances the ability of our graduates to obtain good jobs in industry after graduation. Admission to the Institute’s Industrial Internship Program is a prerequisite for admission to the Applied Physics Masters program.
